Event Description:
Tuesday, April 10 at 7:30 pm in Light Recital Hall the Benjamin Whitcomb, cello and the UW-Whitewater Chamber Orchestra perform a concert. The program features concertos featuring the cello played by Benjamin Whitcomb using three different bows, his personal bow from the past couple decades, Evan Tonsing’s bow and Phyllis Young’s bow (both former cello teachers who passed in the past year.) The pieces include: Concerto for Cello and Orchestra in D major, L. 10 by Leonardo Leo; Concerto in E minor for Cello, Bassoon and Orchestra, RV409 by Antionio Vivaldi and Concerto for Cello and Orchestra in A minor, Wq.170 by Carl Phillip Emanuel Bach.
