Free band concerts at Barrie Park on Monday evenings with ice cream social.

The 2018 dates are June 18, July 2, 16, 30, and August 13.  Bring your lawn chair.
 

July 2 will include a potpourri of marches, patriotic melodies, swing, ragtime and country songs of American composers. Director Wayne Crook will lead the band through several songs, including “Overture Americana,” “The Music Man,” “You’re a Grand Old Flag,” “Kickin’ Up Country,” “Battle Hymn of the Republic,” “Aquarius” and more.

The program includes a colorguard unit from the Chapter 409 of the Vietnam Veterans of America, Edwin Frohmader Post 1879 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Paul Frank Florine Post 166 of the American Legion, who will present the colors during the “Star-Spangled Banner,” followed by a salute to all men and women who have served their country in the armed forces with an arrangement titled “March of the Armed Forces.”

Stacci Barganz will close the concert with a vocal/band rendition of “God Bless America.”
