Dr. Ozalle Toms to Talk on Micro Aggression
 


The Unity Project announces a special presentation on Mico Aggression on Thursday, November 1^st at 7pm in the Fort Atkinson Library community room.  Dr. Ozalle Toms, University of Wisconsin Whitewater Associate Professor and Director of Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives, will present and lead a discussion on this emerging and important topic.  
 
Micro aggression refers to those routine verbal, behavioral, or environmental indignities that are directed towards any marginalized group.  These occurrences do not have to be intentional, and many people are likely to perform them without recognition that their actions are derogatory, negative, or prejudicial.  Attendees are asked to come with an open mind as Dr. Toms sheds light on this topic that requires both self and community reflection.  All are welcome.
