Gardening Seminar: Perennial Gardening

Once again, the Hoard Museum’s Jefferson County Master Gardener Volunteers are presenting a half day seminar.  This program will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

This program will have something for the novice gardener as well as the more experienced perennial gardener. Among the topics to be covered are:
  • Common gardening terms
  • General garden maintenance
  • Perennial garden design
  • Shade gardening
  • Bulbs
  • Intersectional Peonies
  • Propagation – splitting and seeds
  • Our favorite perennials – 5 favorites of each Master Gardener
  • Bullies – panel discussion of control of plants that are popular but can be aggressive
As always, this educational program is free, but registration is REQUIRED to ensure we have sufficient materials for all attendees. Contact the museum by Wednesday, September 20 to reserve your spot.
