Event Description:
The public is invited to attend the book launch of
Forty Voices Strong: An Anthology of Contemporary Scottish Poetry.
The book launch event will be held at the historic Fort Atkinson Club overlooking the Rock River on Thursday, February 28th from 7-9 pm. This event will include selected readings from the anthology by Scottish natives Ruth & Gordon Gavin and the anthology’s editor, Prof. Patrick Moran of University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.  Copies of the anthology can be purchased after the reading. The evening’s event will conclude with the traditional Irish/Scottish sounds of Fort Atkinson’s very own Sergeant Early’s Dream.  Please join us at this free event as we celebrate the rich tradition of Scottish Poetry.
