The Hoard Historical Museum tells the story of Fort Atkinson and the Jefferson County area from our first inhabitants to today. This 3-story, 36,000 square foot regional history museum explores our history from sacred Native American Mounds, to the tale of the Black Hawk War and young militia leader Abraham Lincoln, and to the growth of Fort Atkinson. Visitors will also enjoy the National Dairy Shrine's Museum, featuring a multimedia show that showcases the value of dairy farming, past, present and future. Free admission.
