BlueFire Arts Opens Doors to Artists of All Ages

March 01, 2019
A new art studio has opened its doors in historic downtown Fort Atkinson with a mission to create a safe, communal space for all kinds of artists - from beginners to professionals - to express their creative sides, spend time with family and friends, and have fun.

Proprietor Cindy Gerard knows a thing or two about art, having been an Art Teacher for over 20 years. “Whether you’re a professional looking for inspiration, a new student hoping to learn a thing or two about art, or just interested in picking up a new hobby, BlueFire Arts is here to welcome you,” she said during her recent ribbon cutting.

The business offers a variety of classes in different mediums available to all ages and abilities. One of the more popular experiences is the group pottery wheel lessons, but Cindy also provides After School Art classes and Art Camps for kids ages 5-18, Adult Art classes and Adaptive Art programs for individuals with special needs who wish to maximize their creative potential. BlueFire Arts also offers art experiences for youth groups, scouts, clubs and teams and is happy to arrange private parties for kids and host special events such as bridal showers, birthdays, and corporate Team Building Workshops.

“We are a BYOB (bring your own beverages) studio, so adults can sign up for an evening event or book a private party, do some art and enjoy drinks and snacks of their choice,” Cindy explained. “In addition, Open Studio is offered on Fridays and Saturdays where you can simply walk-in, pick a project and get creative. Guests can paint pottery, learn the art of glass fusing, experiment with mosaics, glass painting and much more.”

The studio has just posted its spring classes and camps. To sign up, visit www.bluefirearts.com, call 920.728.0760, or stop in at 87 N. Main Street in downtown Fort Atkinson during open studio hours on Fridays from 11:00am to 7:00pm and Saturdays from 11:00am to 5:00pm.
