Fort HealthCare Top Workplaces award

May 25, 2018

Fort HealthCare named a winner of SE Wisconsin 2018 Top Workplaces award

Fort HealthCare has been awarded a 2018 Top Workplaces honor by The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. The list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by research partner Energage, LLC (formerly WorkplaceDynamics), a leading provider of technology-based employee engagement tools. The anonymous survey measures several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution and connection, just to name a few. Fort HealthCare not only is named a Top Workplace in 2018 but is recognized as a “Hall of Fame” award recipient. This
honor is for the companies that have been honored eight of the nine years that the Top Workplaces have been recognized. Out of 150 employers on this year’s prestigious list, another 16 (including Fort HealthCare) have made the list in eight of the program’s nine years. With regard to the health care
organizations in the large employer category (500 or more employees), Fort HealthCare was one of the select few health care systems to receive the award of Top Workplaces again in 2018. “Top Workplaces is more than just recognition,” said Doug Claffey, CEO of Energage. “Our research shows organizations that earn the award attract better talent, experience lower turnover, and are better equipped to deliver bottom-line results. Their leaders prioritize and carefully craft a healthy workplace culture that supports employee engagement.” “Fort HealthCare cares about employees and invests in development opportunities for staff and leadership,” Nancy Alstad, senior director of Human Resources, said. “Our RESPECT values of Responsiveness, Excellence, Sensitivity, Professionalism, Empowerment, Cultural Diversity and Teamwork help comprise the work ethic at Fort HealthCare. “Employees at Fort HealthCare are passionate about the organization and portray that passion when they come to work,” she added. “We are honored to be recognized as a great place to work and will continue to invest in our employees.” “Becoming a Top Workplace isn’t something organizations can buy,” Claffey said “It’s an achievement organizations have worked for and a distinction that gives them a competitive advantage. It’s a big deal.” Mike Wallace, president and CEO of Fort HealthCare, adds “our employees receive invitations to participate in the survey and they are the ones that decide year after year that Fort HealthCare is a Top Workplace. “The Top Workplaces award is possible because of our employees and their contributions to our organization,” he concluded. “We are very excited to be receiving this honor again in 2018.”
