    The mission of the Heart of the City citizens' group is to promote sustainable development, preserve existing and treasured civic characteristics and actively participate in municipal life. They believe each member of the community is a stakeholder in the decisions affecting the community. They partner with groups to do biking/walking events, voter registration drives, bike trail clean up, shop local activities promote the Hearty Gardens Community Garden plots at Dorothy Carnes Park and more.
